IMPJournal is grateful for the thoughtful and enthusiastic interest of our international friends and colleagues in the achievements and challenges confronted by Progressive Judaism in Israel. This month we share an important step forward in the State's official recognition of our endeavors as well a promising new forum for Israel's Reform cantors and public prayer leaders. We offer our in-depth perspective on the fervent public debate about activities at the Kotel. And in keeping with the spirit of the Purim season, we share light-hearted liturgy written for the holiday.

The IMPJournal is our venue for sharing features and thoughtful opinions which reflect the latest developments in Israel and our shared vision. This month, we provide an original "Seder" ceremony to celebrate Tu B'Shvat, which commemorates the New Year of Trees in Israel. You'll also learn about the visit of President Shimon Peres to the Reform Kibbutzim in the Arava region and and a newly composed prayer for all who suffered the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti.
